1. Information You Add to the App
Ctrlavana helps you organize caravans, passengers, suppliers, payments, check-ins, routes, and trip planning details. The information you add may include:
- Caravan names, dates, descriptions, websites, routes, departure and arrival locations, passenger limits, and trip values.
- Passenger information such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, birthdays, document numbers, addresses, notes, images, and emergency contact details.
- Payment, check-in, waitlist, raffle, supplier, supplier contact, and trip-price calculation information.
- Files or text you import into the app, and files you choose to export or share.
- Your email address if you voluntarily submit it through the news signup form on our website.
This information is used to provide the app features you choose to use.
2. Local-First Storage
Ctrlavana is local-first. We do not currently operate a Ctrlavana-owned cloud database for your caravan, passenger, payment, supplier, or trip records, and we do not currently provide a Ctrlavana account system or cross-platform sync through a Ctrlavana-owned backend.
Core app data is primarily stored on your device. However, depending on your platform, device settings, and the features you use, some data may also be processed by platform services or third-party services described below.
3. iOS iCloud and CloudKit Sync
On iOS, Ctrlavana uses Apple's iCloud and CloudKit infrastructure for app data sync when available and enabled by the system. This may include caravan, passenger, payment, check-in, supplier, location, waitlist, image, and trip-price records.
This sync is handled by Apple iCloud and CloudKit. It is not a Ctrlavana-owned backend or Ctrlavana account system. Your ability to sync or restore this data may depend on your Apple ID, iCloud settings, device settings, storage availability, and Apple's services.
4. Android Local Storage and Device Backup
On Android, Ctrlavana stores app data locally in the app's database on your device. Ctrlavana does not currently provide Ctrlavana-owned cloud sync for Android app data.
Android system backup may apply depending on your device, Google account, Android version, and backup settings. If Android backup is enabled, Google or your device provider may process backup data according to their own policies and settings.
5. Subscriptions and Purchases
Ctrlavana uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status, paywalls, entitlements, and subscription-related information. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your platform.
RevenueCat may process subscription identifiers, purchase status, entitlement information, device or app identifiers, and related technical information. Ctrlavana does not receive or store full payment card details.
6. Analytics and Crash Reporting
Ctrlavana uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app stability, diagnose problems, and improve the product. This may include app version, device model, operating system version, crash logs, diagnostic data, usage events, and stability information.
Analytics and crash-reporting data is not intended to contain the caravan, passenger, payment, supplier, or trip details you add to the app.
7. AI-Assisted Description Generation
On iOS, Ctrlavana may offer AI-assisted caravan description generation when Apple Foundation Models or Apple Intelligence are available on the device.
When you use this feature, the app may use caravan information as context, such as caravan name, current description, website URL, dates, route, passenger limit, minimum trip value, and public content extracted from a user-provided event website. Generated text is saved to your caravan only if you choose to apply it.
8. Website URLs and External Website Content
If you add an event website URL to a caravan, Ctrlavana may store that URL as part of the caravan record.
For AI-assisted description generation, the app may fetch publicly available content from the event website directly from your device. The website provider may receive normal request information, such as IP address and request details, depending on how that website operates.
9. Notifications
Ctrlavana uses local notifications for reminders and operational alerts. We did not identify a Ctrlavana remote push notification server for caravan reminders.
Notification content may include information such as caravan name, passenger count, departure details, next passenger name, or other trip information needed for the reminder. You can manage notification permissions in your device settings.
10. Import and Export
Import and export features are user-initiated.
Passenger exports may include personal information such as passenger names, phone numbers, email addresses, birthdays, document numbers, and emergency contact details. Passenger imports may include passenger and contact information from JSON, CSV, text, or contact-picker flows, depending on platform and feature availability.
Caravan JSON exports may include caravan and location data. Files you share through share sheets, storage providers, email, messaging apps, cloud drives, or similar services may be processed by those third-party services.
11. Maps, Routes, and Address Services
Ctrlavana uses map, route, and address services to support location-based features.
On iOS, the app may request When-In-Use location permission and may open Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze with route coordinates. On Android, the app uses Google Places and Google Maps Platform for address search and place details. Address, route, and location data may be processed by these providers when you use those features.
12. Third-Party Services
Depending on your platform and the features you use, Ctrlavana may rely on the following services:
| Third party | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Apple iCloud / CloudKit | iOS app data sync and storage through Apple infrastructure |
| Apple App Store / StoreKit | iOS purchases and subscription processing |
| Google Play Billing | Android purchases and subscription processing |
| RevenueCat | Subscription status, paywalls, entitlements, and purchase-related technical information |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash reporting, diagnostics, and stability monitoring |
| Firebase Analytics | App usage and performance analytics |
| Google Places / Google Maps Platform | Android address search, place details, and map-related services |
| Apple Maps / MapKit | iOS maps, route, location, and address-related services |
| Google Maps / Waze | Route handoff when you choose to open routes in those apps or services |
| Apple Foundation Models / Apple Intelligence | iOS AI-assisted description generation when available |
These services process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
13. What Ctrlavana Does Not Currently Do
Ctrlavana does not currently:
- Provide a Ctrlavana account system.
- Operate a Ctrlavana-owned cloud database for caravan, passenger, payment, supplier, or trip records.
- Provide cross-platform sync through a Ctrlavana-owned backend.
- Store full payment card details.
- Use Firestore, Realtime Database, or Firebase Storage as the current storage system for core app data.
14. Data Retention
App data remains in the app until you edit it, delete it, uninstall the app, remove device backups, or change platform sync settings. iOS iCloud/CloudKit data and Android backup data may also be retained or deleted according to your Apple, Google, or device settings.
Crash, analytics, subscription, purchase, map, and other third-party service data may be retained by the relevant service providers according to their own policies.
